Warning data parties

We would like to draw your attention to the following: we have recently noticed that relations of Festivak Belgium have been approached more than once (unsolicited) by fraudulent 'data parties'. In most cases, this involves an English e-mail in which they try to sell 'valuable visitor data'.

Although these 'data parties' pretend to cooperate with Festivak Belgium, we would like to put you on notice that there is no cooperation whatsoever here. Indeed: we are in no way connected to these rogue organisations. We never share your data without permission and never will in the future. 

What these parties do: based on the listing of company names on stock exchange sites, they search for relevant data through "crawling technologies". Unfortunately, it is difficult to take action against this as these parties are almost always based abroad.
